C’est l’histoire de trois amis. Mateo, un garde civil au caractère bien trempé, Juan, un pêcheur malchanceux devenu narcotrafiquant, et Benito, un petit fonctionnaire résigné, toujours à mi-chemin entre la loi et la délinquance. Trois hommes pris en étau dans les terres arides de Cadix : une région abandonnée par les institutions, rongée par le trafic de drogue et au bord du chaos.
