Un hombre cruza a caballo el desierto que le separa de Bitter Creek. Viene a visitar al Sheriff Jake. Veinticinco años antes, ambos -el sheriff y Silva, el ranchero que cabalga a su encuentro- trabajaron juntos como pistoleros a sueldo.
