Ambientada en Los Ángeles. Rebecca Smith (Denise Richards), una atractiva estudiante universitaria que intenta escribir un libro sobre la prostitución, se ve arrastrada al circulo mas exclusivo de ese mundo. La encargada de guiarla entre prostitutas y proxenetas es Adriana (Daryl Hannah), una actriz venida a menos que utiliza sus encantos para seducir a amantes ricos. Entre sus clientes está Pierre (Joaquim de Almeida), un atractivo y morboso "voyeur". Adaptación del libro homónimo de la escritora uruguaya Isabel Pisano.
