On the day of her birthday, eleven-year-old Angeliki jumps off the balcony and falls to her death with a smile on her face. While the police and Social Services try to discover the reason for this apparent suicide, Angeliki's family keep insisting that it was an accident. Miss Violence is a 2013 Greek psychological thriller film directed and written by Alexandros Avranas. The plot revolves around a family whose young granddaughter mysteriously committed suicide. The film was nominated upon its release for 8 Hellenic Film Academy Awards, winning 2: for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress. It also won the Aluminum Horse for Best Script at the Stockholm International Film Festival.
